NATIONAL RESTORATION PARTY

PRESS STATEMENT

PRESIDENT SATA MUST APOLOGISE TO ZAMBIANS

As NAREP Youth League, we want to express our displeasure and disappointment with President Sata’s remarks on some opposition leader who he accused of being sick because he doesn’t know his father.

We remind Mr Sata that his verbal attacks on opposition leaders will not put more money in people’s pockets as he promised the Zambians prior to the 2011 elections when the people decided to make him President of Zambia. Mr Sata must know that most Zambian people are living in poverty and it does not work well to see him abandon the people who put him in power. We ask Mr Sata to stop ignoring the real challenges facing the Zambian people such as high mealie meal prices. Mr Sata should instead concentrate on giving us the people driven constitution and stop running away from the reality that most people are fatigued with his leadership.

We are greatly disturbedby Mr Sata’srecent utterances and as NAREP youth wecall upon all the well-meaning Zambians to vote out the PF in 2016 as it is a failed administration. This is a fact that even MR. Sata himself knows very well as he confirmed few days ago when he said that most of PF MPs are useless. The President in other words was saying that his administration is useless as it is made up of the same MPs.

We finally ask Mr Sata to concentrate on fulfilling his campaign promises and not uttering words that may end up hurting the people of Zambia. It is sad that Zambians thought they were bringing in office a man of action when in fact not. President Sata must apologise to the Zambian people for increasing poverty and not being honest with his campaign promises in 2011.

Wilson Banda

NAREP Youth League Chairman
