The Electoral Commission of Zambia has yet to announce the final results for the Katuba by-election although the opposition UPND has garnered unassailable lead polling 4327 votes from 28 out of 32 polling stations.
The ruling Patriotic Front is in distant second with 2546 while the MMD has marshaled 653 votes with NAREP getting 532.
In fifth position is the Alliance for a Better Zambia with 383 votes while UNIP has got 117 votes.
Tail-enders National Revolution Party only managed a paltry 23 votes.
Results from three by-elections were still being awaited from 01:30 hours.
