Local musician Clifford Dimba otherwise known as General Kanene has appealed for the review of the judgment that convicted him of defilement.
Kanene, who was found guilty of having carnal knowledge with a minor, has filed an affidavit in the Lusaka High Court challenging the Lusaka Magistrate Court’s decision to convict him.
He contends that the age of the girl was not determined as she had not presented any evidence in court.
The musician is also seeking that court utilizes ultra sound technology to scientifically determine the age of the girl.
Lusaka Magistrate Rogers Kaoma found Kanene guilty but committed him to the High Court for sentencing.
