Kasama Central constituency Member of Parliament hopeful Kelvin Sampa has continued his campaigns despite complaints by several stakeholders who have pleaded with the Electoral Commission of Zambia to intervene as there was no by-election in the area.
Sampa has been on rampage splashing gifts to strategic institutions and individuals in Kasama ever since Kasama Central MP Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba fell out of favour with the PF hierarchy.
Among the institutions that have benefitted from Sampa’s Father Christmas acts are influential Radio Station Radio Mano and the Bashilubemba who have both received vehicles.
Sampa is being touted by the PF as a possible successor to incumbent lawmaker GBM.
Sampa’s presence in Kasama has caused tension in the area with his supporters recently engaging in violence against GBM’s sympathizers who were angered by naked campaign schemes in the area.
