Dear Editor
I am compelled to respond to an editorial comment published by The Post Newspaper on Monday October 7, 2014 titled “Rupiah will never be president again”. Ordinarily, this response should have been addressed to the editor Fred M’membe who writes most of that trash with the occasional help of his friend Mutembo Nchito.
By now, every sane Zambian knows what a hypocrite M’membe is. Even himself knows what a little devilish fly he is and that’s the more reason his spew should not be tolerated. M’membe is on record declaring sometime in 2006 that President Michael Sata will NEVER be President of Zambia. Thankfully, he is not God and today Sata is our leader. And look at how he has pontificated the man he once called Ukwa, Satan, Thief etc.
The problem with M’membe is not Rupiah but the fear that his own demons will be on public display if a man he can’t push around is President. If Rupiah choses to be a M’membe puppet today, rest assured he will receive the most praise from the devil’s advocate if not the devil himself.
M’membe is scared that if Rupiah attempts a comeback and retains the Presidency, shit will hit the pan for him. He thinks Rupiah will be strict and demand that he follows the law to the later such that his debt ridden ka newspaper he boosts is one of the biggest companies in the country will fold faster than a mosquito can transmit malaria. That’s the reality. Those are M’membe’s fears.
There is more intolerance in PF today than any government since 1991. There is more corruption in PF today more than any government in the history of Zambia. But when did we start hearing this ka self-styled corruption champion talk about the dirt in PF. Was it not after Kabimba’s disgraceful fall? Does he talk about the indicators of media freedom dropping today far beyond what they were under Rupiah?. What has happened to the constitution he so much advocated?
In any case, what can ka M’membe write about anyone complying with the law if he himself has never complied with the same law he calls others to respect and observe. And when he comes face to face with a President or person who takes him on, he uses the banner of journalism to cry foul. Shame on you ka M’membe.
Instead of bothering to be paying your employees on time, ZRA and other debtors, you are concerned with Rupiah coming or not coming back. Anyway, those close to ka M’membe says he pretends to be a brave man through his editorials. Take the fool on one-on-one, he can even hide under the bed or a trunk for refuge.
My advise to Fred is to concentrate on his problems and leave Rupiah out of his rubbish. If Rupiah decides to make a comeback, Zambians will make a decision for or against him. They don’t need M’membe and his mother to tell them. M’membe and his mother can chose to vote for Kabimba who in their eyes is the only credible and best candidate in 2016.
