The Lusaka High Court has revoked the interim order of injunction granted to the opposition United Party for National Development against ZNBC over inadequate coverage.
High Court judge Mwila Chitabo threw out the injunction arguing that it was not preceded by any action or declaratory order.
The UPND was granted a temporary injunction by the High Court after they complained over poor coverage that at some point had seen the national broadcaster freeze their advertisement-something that has since been rectified.
Chitabo, who is one of the judges that were recently sworn in by acting President Guy Scott, ruled that the complainants who are UPND secretary general Winstone Chibwe and party campaign manager Dipak Patel should bear their own costs.
