The ruling Patriotic Front is being accused of staging violence in Livingstone but blaming it on the opposition ahead of the by-election on February 28.
The party has sponsored a cadre, who claimed that he was walking from work in the night when he met a group of young men, who accused him of supporting the PF and that they would teach him a lesson.
The cadre identified as Sokoni Mupeta of Maramba Township claimed that the people then beat him up, undressed him and left him in the bush.
Mupeta said he even reported to police when he is alleged to have been abducted.
