The Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini has declared the Lukulu West and Kapiri Mposhi parliamentary seats vacant.
This follows the nullification of the two seats by the Supreme Court last week after an election petition was filed against them for malpractices.
Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) public relations manager Chris Akufuna has since confirmed the nullification and that they were trying to look at the suitable date to hold the by-elections.
The court nullified the seat held by Royd Zimba for the Kapiri Mposhi seat and Lukulu West seat held by Misheck Mitelo, both of the MMD.
