Expelled MMD national secretary Major Richard Kachingwe has applied for a stay of a High Court decision that confirmed his expulsion.
Maj Kachingwe has argued the judgment should be stayed while his appeal to the Supreme Court will be under consideration.
This follows MMD president Dr Nevers Mumba’s submission that Maj Kachingwe has been expelled and cannot execute any decision on behalf of the party.
High Court juge Jane Kabuka will deliver a decision on the application on February 12.
